Thinking Skill, Problem-Solving & Decision Making

An in-house workshop tailored to your organization's needs:

Thinking Skill, Problem-Solving & Decision Making

Presented by: Bambang Utomo

Griya Gagasan

The Dilemmas

* You know there's a problem but you can't define it.
* You're clear about the problem, but you can't motivate those responsible to work on it.
* When you finally get people together to solve the problem, you end up having a 'beef session'.

The Solution

These dilemmas aren't unusual. Most people face them regularly, and many will solve them eventually. Inefficient problem solving, however, takes time and energy; time and energy that could be more profitably applied to other aspects of the business.
This workshop is custom-designed to teach you the techniques that will help you and your people solve dilemmas like these faster and more effectively.

The Benefits

This workshop is yours alone. You brief us on your operational and/or management needs. We put together a workshop tailor-made to meet those needs.
This is not a seminar for industry in general, or even for one specific industry. It's specifically yours.
Prepared for your organization or department to help you solve current problems and improve tomorrow's productivity.
This is a workshop, not a series of lectures; but a hands-on learning experience where each group of participants work on solving a problem of their choosing, and learns by so doing.
The thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills you and your people learn will be immediately applicable on a day-to-day basis.

What To Expect

Thinking is a skill. To learn this, or any other skill, we must first understand the process -- then practice it.
This one or two-day workshop is divided into three parts. Part I: shows participants how to handle information, and teaches them a variety of techniques for thinking more effectively.
Part II: teach the basic steps in the most popular problem-solving model in use today, and encourages participants to work through a problem using this model, and so developing their newly discovered cognitive skills. Part III: is a participatory exercise aimed at developing the skills that make problem-solving meetings get results.
All three Parts are covered in either a one or two-day workshop. A two-day workshop allows more time for participants to practice their newly acquired skills in a non-risk environment.

On "Thinking":

More and more it is brainpower--that critical ability to think logically and creatively--which is being recognized as the essential ingredient in every successful companies. All the information in the world (or in your computer!) is worthless if the user cannot apply his or her mind to it properly in order to solve problems and make decisions."
